Representatives from NGO’s,
national and international conservation agencies and scientists from more than
25 countries across Europe were participating at the EuMon Conference in Leipzig (28th to the 30th of January). The
major issues we addressed during the conference were:
- Where are the gaps in
- Biodiversity Monitoring,
needs and duties of governments and the public
- Advantages and problems in
building multi-national monitoring schemes
- Volunteer involvement in Biodiversity
- What types of education are needed
to encourage the public interest in biodiversity and monitoring?
